Eyelash Extensions

How are eyelash extensions applied?

One individual eyelash extension or one fan of multiple eyelash extensions is adhered to the natural lash using a medical-grade and formaldehyde-free adhesive. The extension is applied to the natural lash not the skin of the eyelid.

The length and weight of the extension will depend on the health and length of your natural lashes, facial features, and desired look. Each look is customized to the client while maintaining their natural lash health.

Will extensions damage my natural lashes?

When extensions are properly applied and cared for they will not harm your natural lashes.

How long will they last?

It is recommended to return for a fill every 2-3 weeks to keep your lashes looking full and beautiful. This will depend on your lash’s growth cycle, shedding, and aftercare of the lashes.

Shedding lash hair is a natural process that occurs daily and depends on many factors much like the hair on the rest of your body.

Can I use a lash serum while wearing extensions?

Lash serums tend to grow and strengthen your natural lashes. Please speak with me, and I can assess if this would benefit your lashes and make a recommendation.

Can I get them wet?

Yes! Clean lashes are healthy lashes. Wait 3 hours following service to get your extensions wet or use a sauna. Other than that lashes should be cleaned daily to prevent any buildup along the lashline.

Can I use mascara?

One of the benefits of lash extensions is not having to wear mascara on your upper lashes! However, a water-soluble, specially formulated mascara can be used on the bottom lashes. Speak with me about mascara specifically designed for use with lash extensions. Never use waterproof mascara.

Are lash extensions a good idea for an event like a wedding?

Lash extensions are a great idea for all special events! If you have never worn them before it’s recommended you book a set 6-8 weeks before the event to ensure you don’t have any reactions and gives you time to adjust to wearing and caring for them. It also allows for time to make changes to the look if desired.

How do I prepare for the service?

Please arrive free of any eye makeup and be prepared to lay still for the duration of the appointment. During the first 2 1/2-hour appointment, a consultation will be done at the beginning of the service. It is highly recommended to avoid caffeine before your visits. Music is provided in the room but feel free to bring your device with headphones. Visiting is limited to the start and finish of the appointment as the service is highly detailed work and requires minimal movement and the eyes to relax.

Lash extensions are very easy to care for. Please see Lash Extension aftercare instructions here.

While over-processing can occur, proper training by the stylist ensures appropriate procedures for the treatment are followed.
